As Conference Director for the Adventures in Travel Expo events, Diane has worked in the field of trade show operations and conference management in various industries for the past 20 years. Following a career that began in marketing communications for a computer software company, coordinating and planning all corporate meetings and sales events, she decided to ‘change sides’ and work from the event perspective…and was hooked.
Industries and clients that Diane has had the pleasure of working with, include EMS Expo, World Recycling Expo, and Wine Expo, as show manager in operations, and Forbes’ high-level conferences, as conference manager working at CMC, Inc., and with Joan Hall & Associates.
Group Show Director
With over 14 years tradeshow management experience, seven as a Show Director, Melanie has worked at a leading B-to-B media company and several event management companies including Primedia, JDEvents, and Institute for International Research. She has worked on events serving various industries including: publishing, satellite, travel, healthcare, advertising technology and marketing. Melanie comes to Unicomm with extensive experience in every area of tradeshow development, including: P&L management, business strategy, marketing, sales, conference development and registration.
Director of Sponsorships & Industry Relations:
Andrea Hutchinson’s expertise in marketing communications lies in the travel, hospitality and entertainment industries having an extensive background in public relations with management responsibilities including SuperClubs and the tourism organizations of Jamaica, Argentina and South Africa.
Andrea’s vast international experience includes writing in Geneva, Switzerland for the World Health Organization’s and studying at University of Havana, Cuba. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Public Relations from The University of Florida.
She continues to be curious about exploring foreign cultures and maintains her passion for humanitarian issues while volunteering with Women for Women International and Action Against Hunger.

John Golicz is the CEO of Unicomm, the organizer of Adventures in Travel Expo and Chairman of the Adventure Council. John is the Publisher of the Active & Adventure Travel Directory, a co-founder of AdventureUS.com a social network for adventure travelers. He is a frequent media reference and noted speaker for the adventure travel industry.
Over the past twenty years, John has a varied entrepreneurial background including developing multiple successful businesses ranging from high technology to worldwide events. A strong believer in industry partnerships, John has helped foster the development of relationships with industry powerhouses like National Geographic Adventure, The Tribune Company, News Corp. and other key players in the adventure travel marketplace.
